I haven't tested it in a while, but the last I used it, there wasn't any sort of notification for directions using it. Bing doesn't announce over voice, but it beeps when you have a new direction that you should be doing.

Google's Android OS on phones such as the Motorola Droid and Sprint Hero. Though only the Droid has 2.0 on it now and is the only Android phone therefore to currently offer turn by turn directions.

Yep the Moto Droid as was mentioned and the HTC Droid Eris do the voice notification when you drive. Don't know about the other android devices but those two do it.

the htc eris is running cupcake and does not do the voice... only google maps. its the one main points that verizon is pushing differant about the phones
