any ideas what causing this .??

under task manager i see 2 programs using most memory but don't know what they do can i close them ??

1.cprog.exe 6731kb
2. device.exe 611kb

this is bugging me so much form 2 days battery life to less than 8 hours of full charge or overnight completely dead.

What locking program are you using?

Mine discharges idle at anywhere from 45-78 mAh with pocketshield and over 150mAh with S2U2.

I have the same problem on sprint and I'm not using any locking program at all... I've been trying to figure it out since I got the phone 3 weeks ago..

I just called sprint they are sending my a brandnew HTC TP2 i will test that and see how that performs..

i have pimp package installed

What method are y'all using to determine the discharge rate?

I have nuePower CPL app and I can watch that... but it seems like I'm using the system at that point, so that doesn't seem like the same thing as what the background / standby discharge would be.

using htc power/backlight setting to see what discharge is going on

wish someone who knows how battery works and configures / calibrate can shed some light on this...

Re: Battrey constant discharge 345ma ?

I was pretty low just looking at neuPower CPL app - under 200ma to mid-200ma, depending on backlight brightness.

I have S2U2 v2.12 installed now. I seemed to have /some/ battery issues with an older version; my wife had a LOT of trouble with 2.04 on her TP2 (I removed it).

I installed Batlog and ran for a bit on my TP2; super cool program.

I seem to run from 5-50ma when full idling.

Every few minutes, there a jump to ~70ma for 10-25 seconds (as it connects) followed by ~220ma for 10-20 seconds, then back to ~10-50ma for minutes.

Could be just about anything doing a check for data for something. I've got weather checking on, email every 5 minutes, who knows what else.

When powered up, it usually jumps to ~350ma for 5-15 seconds, then settles into anywhere from ~140ma to ~300ma - seems mostly dependent on the back-light - which I have auto-adjusting every second with G-Light.

FTR, my battery is lasting pretty well. Just thought I'd share my findings, in case it helps anyone. If you're getting much better results, I'd love to hear that as well.
