TP2 Not Charging!
 

Ok so i charged it yesterday around 1am got a full charge then again when i was driving at around 1pm. Got home alittle while ago plugged it in and nothing. I had also tried it in the car charger on my way home and got nothing but thought the car charger was busted. pluged the usb into my laptop and got nothing. So im guessing my mini usb port is busted.

Questions:
1) Has this happened to any1 else?
2) Any1 know a fix for this?
3) If i take it to a sprint repair shop will it be a problem that im running a custom rom?

is that a custom rom? you need Battery OEM driver

Does your phone turn on?

When you connect it to the computer does your computer say it is connected?

Have you tried hard resetting the device or putting it in bootloader mode?

Had this happen on my 6800 twice it was broken usb port. Is yours really loose?
The first time it happened they replace it 10 days out of warranty, Second time, About a year later gave me a

i got about 30% battery left so its on.
when i connect to the computer it does nothing
i havent done a hard reset yet cause i cant get it to synce and i might need the numbers to make a call with the last bit of battery left.
I dont know how to get to bootloader mode or what to do once im there im still new to this
should i give the hard reset a go?

usb doesnt seem loose.
think they will replace it even though im not on a stock rom or will i have to flash back to stock?

Depends on the tech, If tyey are morons you maybe ok. If they no anythong you could in up with a voided warr. You might try to do it over the phone thats what I did on the 2nd one. I had been to a non corp store to try to get another chrger because I was out of town,She tried about ten diff. chrgrs= no go. So I left and called tech service next day TP@ was @ my house.

To bad I didnt get home for 2 more days. lol

hmmmm might have to try giving them a call then.

I guess this is my fault though i was bragging about my tp2 at work today so i guess karma wanted me to learn a lesson or something, not to sure what the lesson is though i still love my tp2 :drunken:

This is happening alot and not just tp2

Easy work around, take out micro sd or turn off ppc and plg in It will charge while off.
There is a software problem at play not hardware.

The fix is remove msd back it up and reformat it, copy everything back in micro and slide it back ... now your phone is back to normal.

this is not something in mm rom or even 6.5
it is happening to 6.1 also

This also happened to me yesterday on stock rom, I hard reset, plugged in charger and left it for about 30 min. I was then able to turn it on and charge indicater showed it was plugged in which it did not show before the hard reset. Charged 100% now.

i flashed back to stock still nothing. I called the insurence company and they said they can only help if the phone was lost or stolen that i have to take it to a sprint repair shop. I Took the phone to the store yesterday morn and they don't have the phone in stock yet, order was placed so by Tues i should have my new TP2. The rep said the mini usb had missing pins.

use an ac adapter, pop the battery out and pop it back in
