MMS fix

Why is it so hard to get mms working? I can't understand how this hasn't been fixed yet when so many more complicated things have been.

I am not trying to complain because I dont really use it much. I just am trying to understand why its such a big thing. LOL

I sent this to my friend in IM who i'm trying to figure this out for..

On the TP1 etc when you first installed a rom
you would have to go to your picturemail
it was within email not text msgn
you would click
it would contact sprint server
it would do some sort of authentication and registration
then you could send mms through text messaging etc too...
w/o doing that it wouldnt work
i bet its the same problem...

Whats the deal with it? Does it have to connect initially with the server and authenticate like it used to have to do on tp1?

he is probably refering to sense 2.5 roms....the mms program on it is different from what 2.1 uses.....us 2.5 users cant use MMS with manilla...instead we have to disable manilla messaging and use arcsoft

that makes sense. yeah a fix would be great because the htc messaging client also messes up the phonefusion voicmail program, new visual voicemails wont download because of that client.

You dont have to disable htc messaging to get mms to work through the regular method anymore... not on energy 11/9 anyways. You still cant send it through manila but you can send and receive through messaging without a problem.
