I installed the cab fix from the XDA forums and it seems to be working now, how will your dll file improve it?

Thx in advance!

Ok, so it works but after searching for the next few songs I receive this error:

Groove Fish becomes unresponsive also.

So tried your dll file, but that did not fix it.

Red face Re: Groovefish, good catch.

Seems to be a bug, since after installing the dll it sometimes work and sometimes gives same mesg you posted about Net3.5... Some built roms have already installed a higher version of Net. therefor making it not posible to roll back to net 3.5...

Yes it will work with the imagio.

I wish groovefish had some sort of a playlist function.

I also have those errors from above anyone know how to fix it?

I have another issue with groovefish. I can get a few songs to play ok...but after a while (not sure how to reproduce) when I select a song it plays a song that I did not select.

Re: Groovefish, good catch.

I had the exact same problem (Please install NetCFv35...blahblah). I found the exact cab (attached below), installed it and got most songs to work properly without that NetCF error message. It seems like it's not the actually NetCF framework, but something that displays errors that relate to NetCF.

Some songs however still had a remote error (400) when trying to request stream. I did some searching around and it seems it is a problem with groovefish and not our phones.

Just try a different song if that happens to you (it should not stay at "requesting stream" for longer than 5 sec, or just open the debug to make sure).

Install the .cab to the same place as your groovefish (storage card or device).

Hope this helps.

Glad to see my cabs still being used and to know my work didn't go to waste. haha.

I still gotta update that FAQ with more stuff. But I'm starting to work on building roms instead of FAQs.

Re: Groovefish, good catch.

Give this a try guys, so far it seems to be working for me...

I take no credit for this, it's from XDAforums:

I did some debugging and found that the server is trying to redirect. In the .NET framework for desktops the HttpWebRequest's AllowWriteStreamBuffering property is set to true by default, which is what's required for redirects to work. In the Compact framework, because of resource limitations, the designers decided to set the default value of AllowWriteStreamBuffering to false.

I hope you don't mind, but I pulled apart Groovefish.Web and modified the SetHttpHeaders() member function in the GetStreamFromKeyRequest and set webRequest.AllowWriteStreamBuffering = true and it works fine for me now. In fact, I used to get that error quite a bit and I have yet to receive it.

This may not be an issue with the upcoming new version...but maybe it is, so it's something to look out for.

EDIT:
I just played through the first few seconds of about 20 songs and have yet to receive the 400 error either. It may be a bit premature to say this is the solution to that error since we don't really know what the cause of the error is, but perhaps it's this simple? I'd be happy to share my updated Groovefish.Web.dll if Barguast doesn't mind me doing so.

EDIT2:
Ok, I've been using Groovefish for a little over an hour with the new Groovefish.Web.dll and I have received NO errors. I've intentionally picked songs that I have previously gotten errors playing, so I'm fairly confident this fix fixes both the 400 error and the redirect error. I've gone ahead and attached the file to this post. If this isn't ok with Barguast, please accept my apologies. I certainly don't want to step on his feet. This is his app, so if my posting this update isn't ok, let me know and I'll remove it.
