Alright, I've attached everything you need. The instructions are in the file, but I've quoted it here as well.

NOTE: I don't have the actual Sprint logo, but you can use whatever image you want as the splash screen as long as its 480x800 and in .bmp format.

Here's an example of one of mine:

Instructions:

Make sure bootscreen image is in WVGA format, 24-bit .bmp. Name the image splash.bmp and place it in the same folder as nbimg.exe.

Use CMD to run nbimg with the following parameters:

nbimg -p 18400 -w 480 -h 800 -F splash.bmp -D RHOD10000

Duplicate the .nb file, run nbhutil, specify RhodiumW, and insert the images into the Splash and Subsplash fields. Generate .nbh, rename it ruu_signed.nbh, and move it to the RUU folder.

Use the custom RUU to flash the new splash screen. NOTE: This will NOT hard-reset your phone.

not working for me... i got through all the cmd etc, ran nbhutil and but it builds nothing.... it'll say "Done!" but it did nothing... oh well, bed time for me :)

CDMA you need a splash and sub-splash. Use the same *.nb for both, and create *.nbh. If you want it different you can create two *.nb and combine them to one *.nbh.

What do you need?

Tools:

Tool to convert bmp to nb to nbh. Fortunately this was provided long time ago by pof (thanks to him)
Then you need CustomRUU to flash the nbh file.

Create a folder from where you are going to work on.
Get the required tools from above. Unzip and everything and put it in the folder.
Grab the pic you want.
Trim it to size 480x800 (WVGA).
The convert it to bmp using MS paint or something.
File should be 24-bit bmp format in order for the below code to work. So save file as 24-bit bmp format.
Now start cmd prompt and go the folder where you have all these tools and files.
Enter the type in the below code and hit enter, and it should give you respective *.nb and *.nbh files.

make sure you direct yourself to the folder that nbimg is in. if you extracted it to the desktop in their original folder structure, type:
cd\users\bucksflobx\desktop\rhodium splash\
then
nbimg -p 18400 -w 480 -h 800 -F splash.bmp -D RHOD10000

edit on this...
tried it on my XP work computer and it worked great. so i guess the moral of the story is that it doesn't work on windows 7 x64
edit: flashed it and it was all weird.... let's try this again
edit2: finally got it to work... it didn't like GIMP's output bmp, so i had to open it in paint and resave it

Cuzin,

You must do as mentioned above - change the directory CMD is working out of. For example:

CMD starts at, lets say,

Code:

C:\WINDOWS\System32

And lets say you unzipped the folder with nbimg to your desktop. You would type the address to that folder after "CD". This is what it looked like for me:

It can't be cabbed up if you want it as a splash. You have to flash it like a ROM.

does anyone have the stock bootsplash? (black screen that just says "Touch Pro2")... can't seem to find it.
this is the closest thing i can find to the stock look of the font, but the background isn't actually a solid color and the words are way too narrow to extract very easily on photoshop (magic wand, select color range, or otherwise)

update: i couldn't find the actual stock one but i took it upon myself to make one as close to stock as possible (after much tinkering, i was able to use the image i supplied!)
