Conditional call forwarding-Google voice-Voicemail links...?

Ok, since Sprint started their free conditional call forwarding...AND... we can have our calls forwarded to our voice mail of choice (Phonefusion or GV)

What regedits(?) are needed for the voicemail icons to link and dial to our "new" voicemail number??

I would think that it would be something like the carrier cabs that is in the forums...maybe?

You make a good point, it would be awesome if we could link the voicemail actions to dial our GV number instead of our spcs number.

I'd really love it if Google would release an official app for Windows Mobile, that'd be sweet.

You can change your voicemail number just by going into phone, menu-->options.

I actually just activated my sprint phone through google voice mail and it worked, I just checked my sprint account and there was no charge but I don't know how fast it would show up there.

They are offering it starting yesterday Nov 8th. Many of the reps just don't know about it yet. To program the conditional phoen number you want to forward to just go to your phone pad and type *28 + number.

Re: Conditional call forwarding-Google voice-Voicemail links...?

It works as of today. I discovered it while I was on the phone and got a transcribed voicemail SMS from Google Voice.

You can just call your GV number from the phone it has forwarding attached to and you will go straight to voicemail.

I only wished it copied my Sprint VM message, I've had the same one for nearly 10 years now. :D

Re: Conditional call forwarding-Google voice-Voicemail links...?

Hmm, not on an everything plan and Sprint has charged my for 5 minutes of forwarding. Wonder if I need to raise some more hell...

Doh! Thanks! I've used Windows Mobile for years and years (since the HTC Apache) and I've seen that forever. I've just never thought to change it....

Thanks again!

Re: Conditional call forwarding-Google voice-Voicemail links...?

I am very interested in the visual voice mail. I have an invite for GV. When GV sends the text is it just transcribed or does it also send the MP3 file? I have tried Fusion voice mail but it sends the MP3 and tries to play it in windows media player which makes the use of the service not very streamline. Any info is much appreciated.

You can have notifications sent via text or email. Both show a transcription, email includes a link to download the MP3 file.

Answered my own question:

to set your GV number (or PhoneFusion #) as your default voicemail number...

settings>>personal>>phone

you should be able to set your default voice mail number under CDMA settings.

Re: Conditional call forwarding-Google voice-Voicemail links...?

I have a touch pro through sprint and just setup the google voice.
It is VERY neat!!
sprint and a few other carriers have partnered with google voice so it is a free service.
I just was able to switch over to google voice instead of sprint's voicemail in just a few clicks!

please read my sprint chat transcript to ensure you that you will not be charged (if u have sprint):
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=95638

I've been playing around with it for the last hour and LOVE it.
I sync'd all my contacts through outlook then exported them to a csv file, then uploaded them to google voice. I now have groups and have setup my own greetings for my groups, and a few individual ones too.

another neat feature is I have created a "widget" to where I put a flash object on my computer business website to where someone can call me, I have it go straight to a custom greeting/voicemail box. This is VERY sweet! you can checkout the widget @ jbpcrepair.com (mods, I am not advertising, just showing the widget feature... please delete my site link if need be)

Fusion Voicemail + is a free program, but best if you have unlimited SMS and data as it uses those items for delivery.

Do a google search for Fusion Voicemail and it will take you to their website to help get you setup.

http://www.fusionvoicemailplus.com/m...ng/default.htm

that way you dont have to google it.

like shaggy said... no it does not display the number. I didn't like the voice mail notification. If you keep your google voice account set to send you a transcript through sms then you will get notified then.
