Re: Which ROM is everybody using?

regarding only manila 2.5 performance, are there any differences between juicy and energy leo ROMs? They seem to be the only ROMs with 2.5 worth flashing right now. I'm using energy right now, but i really don't want to flash with juicy just to compare, so i'm asking for some input to those that have tried both... thanks.

You should add SSK 3.0 to the list. It's sweet.

I'm on juicy's as well. It's more fun than being on stock. Though I do miss the speed and stablity of stock.

I am using JD's ROM. It is very stable and has all the essentials without any apps I don't want. Great and stable base to add my usual tools and apps. Works with Sprint right after flash so no tweaks needed.

I don't agree with this at all.

Just to be sure, I did back to back flashes of MM & Juicy & left both totally stock for a while. To say that Juicy is "just as fast as MM" is simply not true IMHO.

I don't blame the ROM really, I just don't think the TP2 has the processor power to run manila 2.5 with no lag (I don't care which ROM you're running).

After running Juicy for a while I flashed back to MM & I love it. Part of the reason was also that I decided I really don't like manila 2.5 as much as I thought I would. Not only was the home screen/weather animations quite laggy, I think its pretty ugly myself with the program icons hiding most of your wallpaper.

I decided after a week or so that I actually prefer a dedicated program tab & a clean home screen to show off the WP (I eliminate the call history, dotted lines etc from the home screen also)

CFAY 1.0. THE ROM for Sprint, IMHO.

I have tried most of them by now but came back to Mighty in the end.

Guess our perceptions are different... the weather animations don't bother me, and other than that, I have not really noticed much of a a performance difference personally...if they were running the same system I might look a little closer, but you either want/like 2.1 or 2.5 and to some extent you are comparing apples to oranges...both have pros and cons...don't get me wrong, I'm not married to Juicy but I do think it's a nice ROM...have heard good things about CFay so may give that a run today...and of course, will try out the updated Mighty ROM most likely...

Still using the Stock Rom, while its not as sexy as the customs roms out there it has been stable for what i use it for (Xmradio, watching movies, email, and oh yeah a phone). I'm sure there are things I would like about all the custom roms out there, like I did with my TP1 (which sucked with stock rom) but my TP2 works right out of the gate for me and for now thats enough.
