Does any one have HTC SENSE UI 2.1 & 2.5 as a cab file...
 

I would like to download and install these onto my rom...
does anyone have them for a download?

If your on a stock ROM this will not work. Actually I think these are too big to be in CAB form. Your best bet is to flash to a custom ROM.

Manila 2.1/2.5 cannot be installed via CAB. There are too many separate dependencies that make it impossible. It must be cooked in from the start.

I am guess I am trying to figure out why no one's HTC Sense 2.1 in their roms, have the animated weather backgrounds.

energy rom has weather animations even with hd walls...alot of roms have the weather animations working

Hi Juggalo, do you know how can I make works the animated weather in todays screen?, my brother has the TP2, and with mightyrom it is posible, but I want to add this fantastic function to mi HTC Imagio, I dont know what to do, maybe I need Sense UI 2.1, or something else?, I hope you please help me. Thnx.

Hey WPH,

Don't mind these guys. Sometimes we forget that we were all new to things once. :)

They are correct, however. Most, if not all of the custom ROMs located here do support the weather animation when loading up the weather.

Are you actually asking how to get the weather animations that 2.5 has? Like the ones that animate over the full screen?

(And for a couple of the posters above) I know I am just a n00b at posting. But I've been an avid reader of PPCGeeks for some time now. Please keep in mind that whether you are teasing in jest or not, it can really give the wrong impression of the user base on this site. I was actually googling a a 2.1 related issue and came to this thread. Had I been a brand new user to PPCGeeks and reading this, it may have given me the wrong idea of how inexperienced ppcgeekers get treated when they ask a question that may be deemed silly by more experienced users.

Just my two cents. And I say it with absolutely no ill-intentions. :)

First and foremost, just because this forum is labelled "geek" doesn't mean some individuals actually have to act like one. Let's not forget the main purpose is to assist and not to be an ass-ist. Ok, weather animation not working with HTC Sense 2.1? No problem. Follow these simple steps to get that cool looking motion cloudy background back...

1. Download iSS Registry Editor here
2. Once installed, run it and navigate to: HKCU/software/htc/manila/
3. Delete the content values for CashedBackgroundPath and HomeBackgroundPath, DO NOT DELETE THE KEYS THEMSELVES!
4. Reboot the device
5. Set wallpaper to original default, animated weather will return!
