No MMS in Cooked ROMs
 

Just a question. Please don't flame as I honestly don't understand why...

Why doesn't any of our wonderful cooks cook ArcSoft MMS in their ROMs? I know some may argue that not everybody wants MMS but I can't imagine why anybody wouldn't want it as it is included with text plans.

I understand in the ROMs that MMS doesn't function properly but why not in MightyROM and a few others that MMS works well in?

most cooks try and make the roms universal to all carriers. and to my knowledge the carriers use diff mms so they (most of them neway) will list the cab for ur carrier somewhere below the rom.....

I've noticed that the Verizon and Sprint versions of MMS that are floating around here are not carrier specific and work on the other network, as long as you change the settings.

I think it is so we, the end user, can put what we want on our phones.

Most of us ( i think ) are pretty picky on what we run on these devices.

Yeah, your probably right. ArcSoft is the only program that allows us to use MMS on our phones, right?

There are a few others but yeah you are right that is the main one, but remember there are several variations of the arcsoft software.

Well its being integrated into some roms now ... nrg rom photon has mms in the new builds. You have to run a carrier specific cab after you flash to get the settings right but arcsoft is included built in rom.

There are many many versions of arcsoft out there ... and I think ... sprint has another app 'picture message' that is related to mms but not the same as arcsoft ... I don't use sprint so am not clear on the relation though.

CFay 's ROM has working SMS/MMS. It runs smooth & is very similiar to Mighty's.
