Tp2 4g???????

I have searched everywhere to get specs on the tp2 being that a tech said it had the wimax chip inside just waiting to be activated. I know some techs cannot be trusted, but this was a techy tech and so far has been very knowledgable about wm phones. Has anybody found any proof of this?

I was talking to a few Verizon reps and tech guys that live close to me, because I wanted to know if the netbook i bought off of verizon would be upgradable to 4g when it comes out.

They replied that all verizon phones that can recieve firmware updates will work on the 4g network, at 4g speed.

SO IM HOPE SO!!

Absolutely not on the Wimax aka 4G.

Re: Tp2 4g???????

Wimax is a completely different Radio chip..just like WIFI. There is a hybrid chip that can run them all but I'm 100% sure it is not in there as the chip came out this year and isn't being mass produced yet.

That said..it can't have Wimax as it would need to pass the FCC..jusdging that it wasn't proves even more that it is not on there.

simply put, its not there...

Re: Tp2 4g???????

I been getting like 1.3 mbp download and around 300 kbps upload. Is that still in EVDO Rev A speed?

So TP2 cannot do 4g? How about 3g?

Also TP2 can only do EDGE oversea. Confirmed?

Wirelessly posted (Sprint/1.0/HTC_Touch_Pro2_T7380 Opera/9.50 (Windows NT 5.1; U; en))

My friend in Dallas, TX says his Wifi card (using Sprint's 4G network) gets up to 10Mb download speed.

Wimax would be awesome, but it's not yet available in all areas (I'm in the Los Angeles area, and we don't have it - yet)
