HELP - Sprint TP2 Won't Turn On
Hey guys, i just encountered a weird problem with my TP2. I had it charging next to me and then i noticed the phone rebooted, so i didnt pay much attention, then i realized it was in a constant reboot cycle, so i unplugged it and did a soft reset and now it won't get past the Sprint Touch Pro 2 screen. If I pull out the battery and then put it back in, the phone will start to boot but won't get any further then the TP2 screen. Anyone have any ideas or any tips I could try? This is depressing, went through 4 touch pros and i've only had this TP2 for 2 weeks

Re: HELP - Sprint TP2 Won't Turn On
Looks like you might have to perform a hard reset (With the device off hold talk, end and power keys till a grey screen pops up & follow directions) If you don't know this will completely wipe your device

Try a soft rest again & if it's still wiggin out just do a hard reset bro...
It could be something u installed to.... |
Re: HELP - Sprint TP2 Won't Turn On
Doing a hard reset now, soft reset didnt do anything. I haven't installed anything yet (anticipation for HSPL), i'm not having much faith in my brand new TP2, hopefully this hard reset fixes whatever got screwed up.

Re: HELP - Sprint TP2 Won't Turn On
I think I figured it out, my battery is shot. I let the phone sit there for a few minutes when charged and the phone portion of the TP2 turned on, so i unplugged the phone and immediately it turned off (phone was plugged in for over an hour).

Re: HELP - Sprint TP2 Won't Turn On
because as soon as i unplug the phone from the charger, the phone displays a low battery message and then turns off. And this is after the phone being plugged in for a decent amount of time (at least 20-30 minutes).

Re: HELP - Sprint TP2 Won't Turn On
my mogul was doing the same **** towards the end of its life,
battery may be bad, so it doesn't have enough power to stay on. try charging it on a computer or if thats what you were charging it on, charge it on a wall charger. |
Re: HELP - Sprint TP2 Won't Turn On
It looks like it seems to be holding a charge now. I think my main problem was that i plugged it into my PS3 and charged it that way. I used to charge my TP1 all the time this way with no side effects but i guess the TP2 is different. I'm going to let it charge overnight and see how it is in the morning. Word to the wise...PS3 = not a good charger for TP2.

Re: HELP - Sprint TP2 Won't Turn On
i had a similar issue with my tp2. the first time i plugged it into my computer it wouldn't charge it. but a few days later it decided it liked charging from the pc. it may be the setting in settings-> power-> battery in there there is a check box that says when on and connected to a computer do not charge. make sure its not checked, this could be your issue.
