my music in tf3d or my xm radio app stops when i turn off my screen unless i have my bluetooth headset connected, is there anyway to make the music keep playing when the music is coming thru the speakers?

I've wondered this too... I use groovefish and the only way I can keep it from going off is if I have the phone plugged to the charger or activesync.

For me, it works with tf3d player, but not with pandora.

From my past experiences I found that a dcreen toggle app works well. it shuts off the screen only, it doesn't work like the power button which actually kills the music app that is currently playing. Worked with pandora and my Vogue a while back, may work with the TP2

ScreenOff is my favorite method. Press the send, win, back, or end key to turn it back on. Better than having to reach for that tiny power button constantly.

If you use an media player app named Nitrogen...there's an option to turn the screen off without the music shutting down...

i tried this app but when i slide to sleep my windkws media pmayer stops the music. i do like the app tho thanks

i use kinoma for all my media, it plays great when the screen is turned off.

are there any other ways of keeping the music playing? when i stream xm radio with caspiro's app and listen to my music in the windows media player as soon as the screen cuts off the music stops unless i have a earpiece in. theres gotta be a fix somewhere

there is def a reg edit i have seen floating around, i am searching for it now, its a simple change and i believe will work with any program.

C-ApiSRO's app has a screen off in the menu. I also used the regedit fix posted by MrGoodCat.

This works for me. (VzW TP2, MightyROM 111009).
I'm able to keep Nitrogen, HTC Music Tab, Groovefish, Pandora... all of them playing even when you hit the top back-light key.

when i hit that screen off option in the C Apisro app the music still stops after like 30-45 seconds with the screen off

I got this to work partially. Now the music stays on if I have headphones plugged in, but it will stop if I don't. Is there a key that this fix is missing?

the way u described always worked by default with headsets plugged in the screen can go off and play music

i only tested it but a couple times after installing that i was able to hit the top button without opening the program and the music still played

but for the most part i think you'd have to open the program then go to display off

I'm using stock USCC rom and this just worked for about a minute or two after the screen cut off. Any other cab or tweak to change this?

Pocketplayer works when you simply just shut the screen off plus it has a really sweet album art display while listening...If your interested in it PM me. Or nitrogen found on XDA has a screen opfff power off button....

pocketplayer takes over the whole phone associations doesnt it? i had it installed before but i removed it because instead of just using it as a alternativeto wmp it took over associated all my mp3 files to pocketplayer
