Super SPC Code for HTC Device

Original Post by cdmapcs: http://www.189online.com/viewthread....extra=page%3D1

cdmapcs found The super SPC code for HTC device is "tdwaop" which is avaliable for 6700, 6800, 6900, 6950, 6850 and TP2. But usually, you only could input the numeic code on the device, but you could connect the device via CDMAWorkShop or other software and input the characters. Or use CDMAWorkShop Terminal tab to input Hex characters "41 74 64 77 61 6F 70".

Good Lucky, guys!

Don't quote me on this, but it sounds like we could get our SPC code, without having to go through all the steps we normally have to, making it much easier to obtain.

Googled spc and found this http://forums.wirelessadvisor.com/ge...code-faqs.html

someone refrenced this spc as what we call msl, so why would this help us as there is an app to grab our msl without having to call in, or does this spc give us other abilities?

I.E. I have a Bad ESN Mogul could this help me change the ESN of the device?

The supper SPC code for all of CDMA HTC devices is "tdwaop", but the problem is you can not input it on the device because of the input field limited. But you could key in it via other softwares, for example CDMAWorkShop, that is all.

It's called either an SPC or MSL code, depends on who you talk to, you need it to access your EPST settings, I wouldn't go as far to say it will help with the ESN, but it will help you do NAM settings, security settings, mobile IP, etc.

For example, the touch pro 2 cannot be flashed via houdini without you manually changing the SPC/MSL code to 000000 , I'm sure other people could come up with different examples.

Ok but i am still missing why this is needed if we can just get our MSL with the BAF's MSLGrabber app? does this code give any other ability over having your MSL code for things like CDMA Workshop if I was looking to do some low level editing?

I SuperCID and Changed the ESN of my mogul before and wondering if this would be needed for future things like if I bought a bad ESN pro and wanted to change the ESN of it.

BAFmsl didn't work all the time from the response's I have read from others in regard to the TP2,It did not work for me as well, I don't think it would be of any extra use for your usage. To do esn changing on a touch pro, go to mobile files.com there is a solution posted over there, I cannot further discuss because I do not want to get banned. But long story short, it doesn't help you unless you need to do your EPST settings.

discussing ESN changing is a forum violation, just an FYI

Re: Super SPC Code for HTC Device

basically this information is useless because you can't use it on the device the only thing it could be used for is to .... well nothing... if you need your msl just call in to tech support or use the programs out there to get it.

hence why I stated I could not further discuss it because I do not want to get banned, not trying to be rude either.

Calling is one way to do it but it is not necessary. Instructions are here and take about 5 minutes to do: http://www.ppcgeeks.com/forums/showp...05&postcount=1

BAF's tool did not work on TP2 for me although I used it on TP1 with no issues.

I used an app to try and grab it also but for the TP2 it gave me wrong number. I was changing slot cycle index and needed the number so i just did the usual old stand by and called Sprint and asked . total time on phone 1 minute.

Re: Super SPC Code for HTC Device

The super SPC code is not helpful for ESN change, it is just for the users who can not get this code.

Re: Super SPC Code for HTC Device

this is still very useful for folks that are flashing devices to other networks...especially when baf's grabber is not working

the log method also works, but often not if a custom rom has already been loaded on the device; as seen on the qwest 6800

even IF other methods are working, this is so MUCH FASTER being that we are already in workshop/qxdm/other to program it

please give a thanks if this helps you, and leave it alone if it does not

funny how someone posts something that is useful to many, but so many others that do not need it come and post how useless it is...if you do not need it, then this thread is obviously not for you...why not just go elsewhere? seriously

anywho- mad probs from a cdma expert that loves to see new ways of doing things, even if i have multiple alternatives

btw, i will be testing this on a treo pro tonight...i'll let you know how it goes

*edit*
tested and working on sprint 6850 (touch pro) and palm 850 (treo pro)

and that's a bit important even if msl is found with some devices trying to connect to cdma workshop I had to put in another code independent of the msl and it was a pain in the butt to calculate!
so this is quite helpful

lucky you, I had to do it manually through the tutorial posted on here, It was a bit annoying but well worth the wait.
