No worries, but here's the caveat...and it's been said many times in this thread:

PayPal is key.

If PayPal is involved, those eBay messages are proof of a written agreement between you and the seller that he will refund your money upon exchange if the ESN is not clean.

Not all of us selling TP on eBay are out to rip people off. Some of us just want to make a couple bucks so we can buy a Droid...

My auction ends Sunday, and it is a 100% not stolen, used for 1+ month TP2 that I'm selling with all the extras...

As for people buying cars on eBay... A huge volume of NEW and USED car sales are conducted through eBay Motors every day. So many that part of the GM restructuring/bailout plan is to use eBay Motors as one of the prime sales points for the struggling Detroit auto companies.

BECAUSE IT WAS REPORTED STOLEN! Trying to activate it on another carrier does not make it any less stolen. Your logic and advice here is severly flawed.

I just called the Sprint fraud dept.

He even know the seller name and ask me if thats the correct name. I gave him the seller ID on ebay.

He said there is nothing wrong with what I did. He said I am free to use it and I can sell it next time. My account is good and he said nothing is going happen at my end.

Actually I am clearly informed to the laws in Arizona, I'm still POST certified from my time with the Tucson Police Dept. I've dealt with similar issues with stolen merchandise, and if you are now the legal owner of the device because you were deceived, in the state of Arizona, you are entitled to retain the property you purchased, but thanks for playing.

Which makes perfect sense. They would have no reason to blame you or tag your account for any reason. As mentioned, the worst that would happen is that the ESN would be permanently flagged and you would need to get another phone. On the other hand, I would imagine the seller is in for a bit of a shock if he did attempt to file a stolen claim on the phone.
