Advanced Config Not workin?
 

Im trying to remap my softkeys but it doesnt open up the right apps when i set them in advanced config. I tried to set notes, but it opened up the windows messaging program. I tried messaging, it went to contacts. no idea whats going on, ive tried uninstalling reinstalling, soft reset, hard reset, no luck. any help?

From what I have heard, the advanced config program does not play well with the TP2 for a number of reasons.

from what i understand, only the left softkey can be changed, and to do so you must set both the left and right soft keys in advanced config to the same program, but keep the right key name to contacts or all contacts as that is what it will remain as anyway.

EDIT - this is what I have done with windows media player as the left key and it works.

This is only on the Sprint Version. The Verizon version ADV Config works fine

im just curious, how do u know that advanced config works with verizon's tp2 when ur profile says u have sprint??? im not trying to be smart, just curious bc i hace a verizon tp2 and have read on may different sites that advanced config was designed for gsm phones and is know to not work well with cdma (specifically it is suppose to create a lag while answering phones calls amongst other problems)

I am on VZW, and Advanced Config hosed up my phone big time. I un-installed, and went with the VZW tweaks cab instead.

Advanced Config was written for GSM phones. It can changes settings to ones that only work with GSM. and among other things can cause the phone to freeze on incoming calls. I think it would be smart to not use it on any GSM phone.

I'm using AdCon on my Sprint TP2 and it works fine.
Although i'm not using it to remap keys so...

My understanding is that if you hit the defaults button very bad things will happen. The most obvious symptom will be having the slide to answer lock up and not being able to answer calls.
