HELP cant disable automatic prepend TP2
 

i just tryed like in the TP
CDMA SERVICES---- AUTOMATIC PREPEND----GET SETTINGS
and it suposed to show the potions disable or enable but what i get is the option to select fom
Radio1
or
Radio2

I tryed with the registry change de value to 0 and still dialing the 1 before the number

ive asked this before but got nowhere. i was hoping to find someone with a sprint tp who can do a registry search for prepend and tell what the keys are.

the prepend i think is one of the main causes of the bluetooth ringer not working correctly

i also tryed the reg that was for the TP
HKML/SOFTWARE/OEM/PHONESETING/AUTOMATIC PREPEND_1 CHANGE VALUE TO 0 AND NOTHING STILL DIAL THE 1

theres more to the feature. maybe in 6.5 they stopped screwing us. but so far I have no idea if its just our phone or if its also verizom/tmobile/attws

From my experience this cannot disabled on stock carrier roms. I was only given that option on custom roms that had the carrier package made into the rom. I could be wrong but I have never been able to do so on a stock carrier rom.

There is no cab that can be made to bring this option back to the stock rom?

I'm not sure which TP2 you have but on my Verizon TP2, I have the two options

Radio 1
OR
Radio 1

I know, it's strange that I have Radio 1 twice but I do. I have even hard reset the phone and the options are still this way. I had the 1 dialing before the number too and it was driving me nuts so I chose the second Radio 1 and my problem was solved! No side effects whatsoever that I have seen.

I would suggest for you to choose Radio 2. If that doesn't work try Radio 1. Please let us know how it goes and what carrier you have.

Where would I be looking for this at because I see nothing like that under phone setting and I have Sprint?

Use a registry editor and go here:
HKLM/Software/OEM/PhoneSetting/ShowAutoPrependPage

Set ShowAutoPrependPage to 1

Now go to your phone settings and it will be there. You shouldn't even have to soft-reset for the registry setting to take effect.

That didn't work for me my value was already set at 1, tried setting it to zero and back to 1 made no difference at all. Anything else I can try?

Sorry man, I don't know of anything else. I'm pretty sure on Sprint, you are not charged extra when calling with the 1 in front of the number. I know the "feature" is annoying though.

you can try the disable global smart dialing. that gets rid of the 1. but it also means you may have to hard reset,

as i argued it didn't work. until i hard reset then the first thing i did was disable it then put the same apps back on.

nothing changed but it stuck and now no 1.

still no ringtones with bluetooth though

Guess I could give that a try but don't really want to do a hard reset but I'll think about it.

you can try disabling it and see if it works otherwise its a hard reset

Where is this at I haven't seen it in the menu?

Also are you saying that none of your set ring tones work when you have bluetooth hooked up?

Only thing under there is "Notify me when voice privacy is unavailable" I have sprint version if that matters.

Is there any update to this that doesn't require a hard reset yet?
