Power Management / Sleep Mode help...??
 

I just purchased White Noise in the WM Marketplace and it's a pretty cool app. However, it shuts off when the sleep mode kicks in or if I turn off the backlight using the button on the top of the phone. A lot of other apps, mainly music players, have an option to blank the screen but still allowing the player to function. This one doesn't have that option, so my question is whether or not anyone knows of a reg tweak or software program that will allow me to still hear the sounds but disable the display. I definitely don't want to keep the same image on my phone for 6 plus hours at a time on a nightly basis.

i use psShutXP. when you go to turn the phone off it gives you options, the three main ones are: screen off, shut down, soft reset. i noticed when i use htc player for music when i hit the sleep button the music stops. so i use shutxp then turn screen off, the screen turns off and hte music continues. its a good program to have none the less, and it may fix your problem

Thanks for the info.... I've used psshutxp forever but didn't even think about trying it. I had a little difficulty at first because the sound also cuts out when you switch from White Noise to another program, but I was finally able to get it to work correctly by mapping the My Button key on the HW keyboard to psshutxp. Once I press the My Button to launch psshutxp, I have to slide the keyboard shut to get it in portrait mode, then click shut off screen and White Noise kicks back on. Weird that I just can't do it in landscape, but oh well... it still works.

I'm open to any other suggestions if anyone has anything better, but this is working for now. Big thanks to MrGoodCat!!
