Tried unlocking, w/diamond unlocker, phone went dead. Any suggestions..

I have no Idea how to fix it, only guess... remove the battery for 10 min and then put it back in see if that helps.

:scratch::confused:Please, please tell me that you are joking, or atleast you tried this on a diamond and you accidently posted in the tp2 forum. Help me out, I am trying to give you the benefit of the doubt if not then I don't feel sorry for you one bit.LOL

Edit: Oh and my suggestion would be to not use the diamond unlocker on the tp2, also I wouldn't recommend sticking your tongue in a wall socket.

Yeah well, I was doing my diamond, and accidently was in the wrong folder with the touch pro 2, so now i'm no where.....no power won't charge, although, the pc said it couldn't send to phone???

No. You were just being impatient and ended up jacking your phone up. We are here to help eachother but when you do dumb stuff like this its hard for people to help. Most of us just point and laugh. Time for a new phone dude.

Errr... I'm really sorry, my man. There's a possibility that your phone is royally FUBARed.

Wait until the ACTUAL TP2 unlocker comes out and see if anything it can do will unbrick your phone.

My suggestion would be the same. Sorry to hear that man.

For kicks, you could try removing the battery and the SIM card for 10 minutes. Replace them and try to start the phone. However, the above is probably your best bet at this point. Aside from paying an insurance deductible and getting a new one. Since it was your fault, getting a free replacement would just be wrong!

lol, well his phone wasn't lost or stolen, so I don't think a deductible would be necessary.

Yeah dude, that sucks. You are definetely going to need to get another phone. Hopefully you have Asurion insurance. I don't think Metro PCS actually sells that phone do they?

Be sure to do tons and tons of research before doing anything with something that has the potential to mess up your expensive device.

You might also try to see if you can get the phone to enter Bootloader mode.

To do this with the device off, press the power button while holding down the Volume Down button.

If you can successfully enter Bootloader mode, you may be able to reflash the stock rom from there. It's a longshot that it will boot into bootloader, but definitely worth a try.

Yeah, I think he posted and then went to go cry. Just kidding. I figure all I can do is provide what little advice I have and he will check in when he gets back to it.

Unfortunately, I have a feeling that he has bricked his SPL. Since that is the Secondary Program Loader, he may be screwed. As that is what essentially brings up a bootloader screen and allows the OS to sequentially be loaded. However, if by some stroke of luck, it works, that would be nice to hear.

how would he flash this?
i don't get it the SSPL wouldn't run there fore the HSPL wouldn't flash as the phone is still locked and would not accept a third party SPL unless its booted to a SSPL first.


im guessing ti crashed booting to SSPL and if he pulls the battery it will be fine.

Go to sprint or whoever your carrier is and tell them your phone won't turn on. They won't have one clue. So they'll just give you a replacement. Probably refurbished but atleast it will atone for your mistake. Words of advice... Don't do it again.

Thanks for all the advise, but you learn from your mistakes, I know to slow down now...
I pulled the battery, didn't seem to help. It finally is taking a charge when plugged in, I also noticed that while plugged in to USB, it seemed the battery was discharging instead of trickle charging, but that is a different issue. I'll try the bootloader (Thanks Santod) tonight after I download the TP@ ROM. I still have the Vogue that works well, it's just that the TP2 operated alot faster (when working).

I was thinking that, are we getting that desperate, someone tried a different unlocker on it to see if it works?

Looks like he was in a hurry and had the wrong phone plugged in and/or ran the wrong program while the phone was plugged in.

Either way you're right, it sucks to have a $400 paper weight, but as earlier people said, if it won't turn on at all take it back to the store and say it just stopped working.

I am ashamed to say it but I had an issue with flashing a rom and my screen got stucked on the touch pro 2 splash screen. was able to get into boot loader mode by pressing power while pressing volume down. back to stock but at least i dont have to file a claim. So I hope OP tried it cause it does work.

Now to flash again.... LOL
