OpencellID seems to work on VZW TP2!

Hey all,

I was fumbling with my GPS earlier today, trying to get it work. I installed the latest Google Maps and to my surpirse, their Cell Tower triangulation worked!

Im accustomed to it failing on my VZW TP, but it seems that's now fixed, it gave me a very unreliable 10000 foot mis-diagnosis to my location, but it's a start!

I don't know if I would consider a nearly 2 mile inaccuracy "working"

I don't understand.

Why wouldn't it work?

My Verizon phone GPS has worked fine since day 1.

cell triangulation was broke on google maps before, meaning if you had it set to run in the background. it wouldn't work properly, and it would eat up your battery life since it would always use GPS instead of cell triangulation.

It always failed on the original touch pro

Also, its inaccurate because that's the closest cell tower, and it was having trouble triangulating (Bad reception + just started the software)

So cool yer tights.

So "cool my tights"?

Because I didn't understand your question and asked for clarification?

Really? :disgust:
