Sprint prl update

Just to let fellow members know, I live here in Baytown just outside Houston to the east, and for the past 48 hours my service has been jacked up. So bad that it constantly drop calls and extreme non isolated noise on voice calls and the EVDO was slow sometimes stuck in 1X and Sprint said nothing was wrong. So I called today and spoke to 3 different reps, finally the 3rd one had some sense on the situation, she told me that she have to perform a PRL update so I explain that I perform that from the program in the handset but she told me that the OTA program was the best so that was done and I was ask how was my signal and I told her that it was still low so she told me to drive around, I was I have to run an erron about a mile away from home and while I was out the signal came up to full scale and when I came home I had no problem. The procedure was strange to me but it worked so I am just letting everyone know maybe it can help somebody else out, you can post and strange things you have encountered also.

thanks
Nygel'

Haha old threads that catch my attention. sorry for reading. and the OTA program updates the prl yes i know. But the way he worded it it sounded like there are two separate ways to update the PRL, one being through the phones update PRL app located under the settings>system tab and another being the OTA Program.
