Why does my TP2 screen keep turning on during a phone call?
 
It seems everytime i speak it turns on. Why is this?

for some reason I even hit the power button to turn off the screen and it comes on by itself

It's the proximity sensor (light sensor), which is annoying me too. I wish I could disable it but I have no idea how.

I love the proximity sensor! Something I always wished my TP had, it's been working near flawlessly for me. I'm sure there's a reg edit to disable it, however.

you can disable the proximity sensor really easily. hklm/software/htc/proximity...change "proximity sensor on" from 0 to 1

Make a phone call, maybe to a machine like your bank, and pull the phone away from your head. Then put your finger over the HTC logo above the Start button. The screen will go dark, and light up again when you remove your finger.

What happens to me is that the light goes on sometimes during a call, and then my ear sometimes opens the Notifications screen. PITA

Mine does this sometimes (ie. battery status screen most often) cannot figure this out.
