Re: Why does my TP2 screen keep turning on during a phone call?

This is caused by the auto backlight feature. To disable go to ALL SETTINGS>SYSTEM>POWER>BACKLIGHT and uncheck the "auto adjust backlight" box. This will force the backlight to be controled by the setting sliders that pop up.

I dunno about you guys, but my proximity sensor seems to be located at my earpiece. When I put my ear near the earpiece, the screen turns off.

My proximity sensor turns the screen off, but sometimes it come back on.

Re: Why does my TP2 screen keep turning on during a phone call?

Proximity sensor works fine guys, what kind of screen protectors are you using? I had a fairly thick 'mirrored' screen protector (what a waste of $10 that was) and my screen would flash like crazy during a call, then wake up to the home screen, stay lit, flash, stay lit, etc....

Took off that screen shield, replaced it with the protector that came in the box, no more problems.

So is there anyway to truly disable the stupid proximity sensor or not. The registry setting does not appear to do anything.

Yeah, I think that option applies to the screen adjusting its brightness on its own during regular usage, not turning off during a phone call. With the S2U2 (slide 2 unlock) program, there's an option about turning the screen off when a call is connected. I think it turns the screen off and keeps it off, but I may be mistaken. Still worth a shot.
