So,

This coming Monday I am going on a vacation to Cancun, Mexico. I wanted to check the roaming rate, and to see if it will make sense for me to buy a SIM card there to call USA or just use Sprint's roaming. I went to Sprint's site, Support, Services, picked International Services. Was asked to select my phone. I did. And below is the message I got

""Traveling internationally with your phone" is not supported by the phone HTC Touch Pro2."

Let us know if you get this resolved... I go to Ensenada from San Diego all the time. The last time I was there I had just got myTP2 and forgot it's a "world phone" so I didn't even try to set anything up. I remembered when I was almost there.

Hope you have fun in Cancun..I just got back last Sunday. Telus was charging like 3.50 per min and 51 per MB data. complete bs...I suggest unlocking your phone and buy a local SIM card.

I think the sprint version is already unlocked so inserting a sim card when out of the country should work just fine, the problem is using it locally with an att or tmobile card.

Also, which local carrier could you recommend? There's Movistar and Telesomething...

I actually didnt bother with finding a local carrier, just use skype at hotel...forcast was for rain my week there too but I only saw rain once for about an hour, the rest of the the time was nice and hot.
