So I know this has been talked about, and there are people looking into it on the TP2...but I was sitting down to work when I was suddenly attacked by my iPhone loving friend who shoves this article in my face:

Than he goes on talking about how this is one more reason why the iPhone is better, they add the function back into the device. Now I know that it works on GSM, but my sad little CDMA phone is lacking. We got to beat apple to the punch.
