PICS: VZW Stock Battery VS. VZW Extended Battery cover

2 Attachment(s)
Got mine in today . . . Here's are the measurements (the piece of acrylic is about 1mm, so measure from the bottom):
  • The standard 1500mAh cover measures @ 9mm thick.
  • The extended 2100mAh comes in @ 13mm thick.
  • So the extended battery adds 4mm thickness to the phone.
That's much less than I expected. . . . Thoughts???

Thanks for the pictures.

4mm is not bad for 40% increase in battery life.

Great pic, can you take one with both battery covers side by side?

Is there any really noticeable weight gain?

As heavy as the phone already is, I can't tell any weight difference at all. And the thickness is barely noticeable from the standard battery. AND it's certainly not fugly like the 6700 was with the hunchback battery! LOL!

Can you post some pics with the covers on the phone? That would be very helpful. Thanks!

Wow, I was pretty close, I guessed 5mm;

Verizon 2100 mAh Extended Battery with new door!

Why a new thread for the pics?

I'd rather just go with an 18000mah slim battery and keep the same cover. Less cost fits better.

2150? Where do you see that? The packaging & the website both say 2100 . . .

Re: PICS: VZW Stock Battery VS. VZW Extended Battery cover

The battery itself says 3.7vdc---2150mAh 7.95Whr LI-ION
Original 3.7vdc---1500mAh 5.55Whr LI-ION

Nice surprise isn't it? 3.3% on top of the 40%!!!!!

What are you talking about? Did you even read the question & my response??? He asked me to take pictures of the phone WITH THE COVERS ON THE PHONE. I replied that I cannot because I'm USING THE PHONE TO TAKE PICTURES.

So, yes, I am aware that the phone works without the cover because I took the pics of the covers without the covers on the phone! Hilarious!

I can almost guarantee that the 15% extra battery life you'll get from an 1800 Mah battery would be so negligible that I'd rather just have a spare to carry around.

Yep, totally misread his post. My bad. Think you could take some picture of both covers side by side?
(That would require the phone being used without the cover.)

I do too. I prefer the clean look to the world map on the other one. The only thing I dont like is how slippery it is. I have full body armor on the other cover & it has a tacky grip to it. Not sure what to for this cover though. Any thoughts?

Re: PICS: VZW Stock Battery VS. VZW Extended Battery cover

I also will miss the full armor. maybe we can send it to zagg?
