How to replace the 'camera' button on home tab?
 

Can I substitute it with 'Phone' or other button somehow, it's really inconvenient when i misclick it, and it takes many seconds to launch the camera app, then to quit it...

Use Softkey Manager:

You can remap to any app/program you want.

softkey manager works well, but with a Verizon phone it will remap both buttons -with a Sprint phone it only works on the left one for some reason.

I just tried it, it can only do the home screen for the default windows UI. But for TouchFLO's home tab, it's not doing anything?

am i missing something?

much more difficult than i thought with touchflo, i thought htc was suppose to make these customizing easier.

must one use advance config tool to change the camera softkey? i dont want ot use the AC tool at all.. is there reg entry for this?

same here. im thoroughly against using ac on my sprint phone. i think it causesbad delay on call pick up. i.e: i have to say hello about 6 times for them to here me.

i tried using advanced config to change soft key & it wasnt right ... then changing to default setting made it calenar. so i wont ever try that again

I dont like AC either. I just deal with the camera soft key.

Try HD Tweak...I'm on my phone so uploading the cab is inconvenient for me...but if u need it, let me know and I'll upload it.

yeah, I saw that program, but do we need the HD or HD2 version on Touch Pro 2? I'm so confused as to how the HD series translates to TP2, b/c I know they are near identical..sooo many code words!

No worries with either...in fact, I use them both as HD Tweak has a couple mods that HD2 Tweak does not. Both have worked at changing soft keys for me though...

HD didnt work either,for me. I ended up with two contact keys even though the registry said they were something different.

I used the lsk/rsk reg edit floating around ppcgeeks & it changed the lsk with no problems.
However, have yet to see anything to change the rsk for the Sprint 6.1 stock ROM.
