After carrying my XV6700 with the Seidio 3200mah massive battery & door, this will be a piece of cake. The TP2 is already much thinner than the 6700 was with its' STANDARD battery. So, we shall see.

The standard battery is just fine for me on normal days, but if I'm traveling and watching/listening to a lot of media, this would come in handy and the extra bulk wouldn't matter. Might have to give this a shot.

With that battery installed, you can stack 3 HTC HD2's on to of each other, and they would be thinner than a Touch Pro 2 with that extended battery.

...but, 2 slices of pizza would be thicker than the TP2 w/ extended battery.

The Seido 1800 battery works well, even with heavy exchange use, gmail, RSS feeds, text messages and some phone usage I have 50% left at the end of the day or 30% better than the stock battery, and no hug battery cover.

Guess it depends on what you need.

How do you know? Do you own 3 HD2s to have measured them? Do you know the dimensions of the TP2 with the extended battery attached for comparison's sake? Please tell! Can you attach a picture for us to marvel at with them stacked neatly next to one another while we wait for the battery to be delivered?

Your expert analysis is surely welcomed in this thread about a battery that was just released & a phone that MAY hit the US in Q1 2010.

It's just a battery. . . . Just a battery. ](*,)

Change your zip code. Try 61761 . . .

This worked like a charm. I saw the battery on sale over a week ago, but it was always listed as sold out. Still today, sold out for my zip code. That one works fine though. Just changed my ZIP during checkout.

Hmm, specs I'm seeing say the HD2 is 11mm thick. The TP2 is listed as 17.3mm. Looking at the picture of the battery cover my best guess would be 5mm of additional thickness (hard to tell from that pic though could be a bit more or less), so a TP2 with the extended battery could easily be 22-23mm. So it's more like 2 HD2's.

That being said, you shouldn't take the earlier comment about the thickness personally, it's just a battery. :P
