Email screen alerts interrupt video recording
Last night I was at Giants Stadium to see Bruce Springsteen's final performance there and was recording a video on my TP2 of one of the songs. Twice an alert popped up on the screen saying I had received a new email and I also received another popup alert informing me how many emails were upopened. These screen alerts stopped the video recording each time. I had to start the recording all over again which is a PIA. Short of unchecking all alerts is there a work around for this so when you are recording videos they don't get interrupted?

Re: Email screen alerts interrupt video recording
Sorry to bump this post but these alerts when I am shooting videos are driving me crazy. Does anyone have a fix?

Re: Email screen alerts interrupt video recording
I would say there isnt an easy solution. You may have to look into running a mort script which can uncheck alerts, execute camera & then recheck alerts upon exiting camera. This thread may become your friend.

What about putting the phone in airplane mode before initializing the camera. Not a fix but a work around.

I'll just have to make sure that there are no unread emails or text messages that will still give me a screen alert that were received prior to my switching over to airplane mode. |
Re: Email screen alerts interrupt video recording
It is not just video...
The modal notifications prevent you from answering or hanging up on a phone call... they interrupt voice during a phone coversation, etc. What nitwit came up with this crappy UI feature. |
