PPCGeeks - {HOWTO} Get Appearance of 7 Signal Bars on Verizon Touch Pro 2

Not sure if this was news or not, but i GOT my seven bars.
just edited the icon files in the cdma_rssi_ppc.dll
so i really have 5 bars, but it shows as 7...

i have installed "Spike's ~ 26 ~ 6.1 MicNeo TaskBar Varient 3 v2 ~ Touch2" to get the 7 signal icons already setup. you might have to do the same. unless you make your own icons.
i customized my icons to get them blue. (in case your wondering)

i have attached the following to edit
resource hacker - edit icons
unsigner
signer

HOW TO:
connect tp2 to computer via activesync
get A COPY of the cdma_rssi_ppc.dll out of the windows directory
unsign it
open in resource hacker (or any other editor)

okay you will see the files on the left

here is the break down
200-206 - Signal icon
210-216 - phone icon
220-226 - active data
230-236 - inactive data

start on the first group 200-206
expand and click the 1033 file
right click and choose save icongroup :200 :1033
save the icon file to a folder of your choice
do this for numbers ending in 0, 2, 3, 4, 6

once you have those saved, start with 204
expand folder to the 1033 and right click and choose replace resource
click the open file with new icon.
browse to your new icon and click replace.

HERE IS WHAT YOU SHOULD CHANGE
204 - ICON 206
203 - ICON 204
202 - ICON 203
201 - ICON 202
200 - ICON 200

once you change that series the others are the same way.

****AFTER YOU ARE DONE MAKE SURE TO RESIGN FILE*******RESIGN FILE******
If you do forget it will probably just display a stock icon and from there you can sign the file then do another soft reset.

copy the file to your storage card
use total commander to open windows folder
change cdma_rssi_ppc.dll to deletecdma.bak (or whatever name you choose)
then use move cdma_rssi_ppc.dll from storage card to windows folder
soft reset!!
