Why doesn't my VPN Connection stay alive?
 

I have configured a PPTP VPN connection on my Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH router. I am able to access the VPN with no problems. When I RDP into my home machine from my TP2 I am able to see my home computer screen and manipulate my home computer, but only for a very short amount of time. Some time between 10 seconds and 90 seconds the VPN connection drops.

How can I keep the VPN connection alive?

I was working on this with someone else and never had any luck. I would just suggest opening up a non-standard port for RDP and forwarding it to your home system..and of course make sure your password is secure.
