Newbee question, TP2 message notification ???

Hello all

First post here and I'm virtually completely new to these devices so forgive a basic question.

In regards to message notification with the TP2 and on the Verizon network, if get a missed call or a voice mail notification or text message and I'm not at the phone or I am out of the service range and then come back into it, what does the TP2 do to continually notify me that such a condition exists?

The reason I ask is believe it or not I am using an old Motorola V60s as my phone and one of the big reasons I do it that is, if I get any of the above, the V60 will continue to beep about every 5 minutes until I make some kind of response to the phone.

The reason this is so important to me is that sometimes with my work I can be in some rather possibly very damaging to my phone situations, so in those I have to leave the phone alone and then come back to it.

As well sometimes I will enter some areas the even with Verizon I will not get a signal for some time, such as driving around in some rather rural or back road areas. Or I will be in very signal interfering area such as a large computer room. But then I will re-enter a good spot but may not be able to respond the phone right away, such as when I’m driving.

In both cases, if I miss a call or there is a voice mail or something else like that, like I said with the V60 until I respond to that, usually by opening the phone or pressing one of the buttons, it will continue to beep about ever 5 minutes until I do which it really nice as like I said, sometimes I’m not in a condition to be able to respond to that right away and sometimes even get so distracted until I can that I even forget in the 5 minutes that I have something and so its so great that the phone kinda keeps reminding me.

Basically what this does is that is very much allows me not to have to keep checking the phone all the time during and or after those situations to be sure that I haven’t misses a call or a voice mail.

So with the TP2 does it have something native to the phone that does that or is there some kind of app that would do it?

Thanks for any help

Re: Newbee question, TP2 message notification ???

while driving through the mountains of colorado and utah i lost a signal with sprint and as soon as i came into a coverage area i got all my voicemails...texts...and pictures...they get stored at the tower and wait till your phone polls the tower to release them. your device does this regularly. with the tp2 you can also have it set to flash a light for x amount of minutes when you have to leave your phone behind given your work environment.

If you don't mind me asking Yay 4 Juggs, for voice mails what did the phone do?

Basically for this if I have a voice mail message as someone couldn't reach me (which in truth is my highest concern) will I get a audible notification for this, as well if I received a call that I missed as I was out of range where there was no mail, (IE not one I missed because I just didn't pick it up) do I get anything for that?.

Regarding this, just to be sure I understand you correctly, I can set up this phone to notify me with a blinking light for any of the things I mentioned for say like two or four hours?

If you don't mind me asking, where is this light in the device, is it somewhere I could easily see it if it were in a pouch?

Also I am assuming as you didn’t mention it, that at least natively, that there is no reoccurring audible possibility for the same?
