Disable Greyed Out SD Card Encryption?

This may not be the proper forum for this question, so I apologize in advance if not.

I have an HTC Touch Pro 2, and I'm looking for any registry settings to remove the SD Card Encryption setting. It's currently greyed out on my device.

Thanks!

why would you want that? to me i think that its just a pain in the ***. i read something about when you hard reset you have to do something to the card to get the phone to read the card again.

Re: Disable Greyed Out SD Card Encryption?

I don't want to use encryption on my SD card. Currently I don't even have the option. I like being able to swap SD cards between devices, and it is impossible as long as one device is locked into using encryption.

I realize I will have to wipe whatever is on the card. But that is easily restored from backup. If encryption can be disabled, then I won't have to worry about it ever again.
