Returned My TP 2
 

I have to admit...I returned my Sprint Touch Pro 2 the other day.

I thought the phone was a nice upgrade for me considering I had been using a Mogul. Screen was very nice and the system was pretty fast. However, there were a number of things that I just didn't like.

1. The price for starters. This phone won't be able to run WM7 so why
spend all that money on the phone.(Sprint Price)
2. Bluetooth stack was horrible. All kinds of connecting issues with gps,
car handsfree, and ear piece handsfree.
3. So/so battery life.
4. 3.2 MP camera

I just felt that within the next 6 months more phones will be out that will be supported on the new platform(WM7) and better equipment for the money. If I was only paying $199 for the phone like Verizon customers or Sprint Business customers then I would consider keeping the Touch Pro 2. I guess it all comes down to HTC, Sprint, and Microsoft and their plans to just slightly increase or change the specs of each phone to keep us buying more. Instead of just getting it right on one phone.

I went back to the mogul and everything just works. Battery life is twice as good. Screen sucks compared to the TP2 but battery and bluetooth connectivity work like a champ.

Windows 7 might not be out for another year. shoot, windows 6.5 just barely came out and its been in the making forever, you might be using that mogul for a while..

and maybe gsm has better battery than cdma, but wow the battery rocks on this....

I almost have to agree with you. I'm teetering on the line. the G1 was the first Android phone out there and it is constantly updated and gets better and better. WinMo phones are rarely updated and even then they are bug fixes or something minor. Sure, we can do that ourselves when we unlock them, but that isn't my point. Windows Mobile is a very old OS now and Microsoft has neglected it for so long that it has to have very powerful hardware pushing it to even make it half-snappy.

Why did you post this in the Touch Pro 2 forum? Wouldn't it make more sense to put this in a Mogul forum

Mogul= FAIL compared to TP2.. Sounds like someone has no patience with getting used to a new phone. I'd ditch the TP2 for a Leo/HD2 but I'm not going to return it in one week if I'm not used to typing on-screen..

what are we supposed to do? cry and tell him to get it back...give me a break. If you arent happy with the phone then return it. simple as that

I'm holding out for something like a cross between the HD 2(Leo) and Touch Pro 2 really but who knows how long that will take?
