open text still showing as unread
 

I have had my TP@ for several days now and notice that while in text with someone all text subsaquent to the original comes up as unread alltho I am actually in text with the person once i close the convo mt inbox will show the following text as unread and the only way for me to clear it is to open and close the window for the amount of text sent if 5 are unread i have to open and close that convo 5 times for it to clear , other that deleting the whole message what can i do . and btw wz good with the sim card its a B@!#% to get out and i dont wanna break the door any ideas?!?!](*,)

No one will respond I have had the same question and posted about 4 times still no response, sorry man, they most they will do is call you a douche and and tell you to search!

No need for that. This site has been overwhelmed with many new users and a lot more new threads than usual.

On topic, I am having the same issue and find that I actually have to go in a certain number of times (say 3 if I have 3 unread from the same person) to make it clear.

Basically what Ive found is you have to actually highlight each 1(using the arrow keys) for it to show as read. Or, I just use the inbox extender thing, and it gives me a Mark as read option. I just click that and it marks them all

Admin, Senior Geeks I know us newbies must be a annoyance to you guys but we come here because we DON'T know and are looking for answers to questions that yall know , (granted some newbies need to put a little more effort in searching for the answers) at one time this wz all new to you as well ,think back to the time when u were vulnerable and didnt know ish , now that u got ya weight up try and show compassion and patience for those who are not as gifted as you guys they might become brilliant one day as well and roles might reverse I know you mean well but some of yall do become snappy and arrogant , snovvman thanks for reposting the info i hadent looked but im sure u pointed me in the right direction,,, just my 2cents guys pay me no mind ita cost ya nothing!!!

I believe that is actually a different issue. I think I share OP's problem where if you receive a text from someone whom you already have an open conversation with, then that new message and all other new messages will not be marked as read until you exit and re-enter the conversation. It's dumb. More than dumb. I can run desktop applications on my phone but it doesn't know that I'm looking at a text come in? Dumb.
