Soft Reset Scheduler?
I am looking for some sort of a super light, super simple reset scheduler.
It would be nice (I think) to be able to schedule a soft reset every morning at 3 am or whatever. Does this make sense? It would clear out the RAM and keep things nice and smooth? |
Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 8.12; MSIEMobile6.0) Sprint T7380)
it really would. i know there is a program called kai's autoreset (google) but its like 6 bucks to buy. |
Re: Soft Reset Scheduler?
Actually, you sound like you aren't doing a nightly backup, which a bad decision. Try SPB BAckup, and it's default is to do a soft-reset after backing everything up (in an .exe file, awesome feature).

Re: Soft Reset Scheduler?
Will SPB Backup make a backup of Touchflo3D settings as well, such as your favorite contacts?

Re: Soft Reset Scheduler?
cleanRAM has a scheduler that you can set to your liking...
how deep a cleaning you want to perform, days of the week, time of the day. I'm finding a deep cleaning (lvl 3) once a week and a level two every so often...helps things tremendously. there is also a custom cleaning where you tell the cleanRAM what programs to "clean" http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...light=cleanRAM |

Re: Soft Reset Scheduler?
Great advise sfetaz,
I went through 5 touch pro's without a backup utility. My simple workaround to a backup was to reload all my cabs in date order as they were all in my memory card it was not a huge problem. But a nightly backup seems like the way to go. p. |
Re: Soft Reset Scheduler?
I'll add another vote for SPB Backup, that was one of the very first programs I installed in my new TP2.
That program has saved my @ss so many times it is ridiculous. Even if your phone won't boot at all, you can hard reset it & then navigate to the "full system backup" you saved to a storage card & then click on & restore that file in minutes. When you're done, your phone will be EXACTLY the same as when the BU was made (including TF settings, all your email accounts etc etc etc) ~John |
