Using PAM at work, Need advice.

So here is my deal.. i've search this forum and the internet but I cannot come up with an answer..

I am using my TP2 for the internet at work, the thing is I cannot be connected to the LAN and TP2 at the same time. For some reason I was able to do with my Samsung Instinct using a dial up connection. I was on the internet with the Instinct and I was still able to send company emails and use our data software. Is there a way I can do this with the type of internet connection the TP2 has, or can I create a dial up connection using my TP2. Right now I have to disable my companies LAN so my pc uses the mobile base connection, but doing that it disable my outlook and and data software.. any solutions??

by the way.. u guys on this forum are awesome, just got my TP2 last week and cannot put it down... with all the knowledge and cabs, everyday i'm loving the phone and the forum more more..thanks in advance. :drunken::headbang:=D>

If your phone supports bluetooth DUN, you should be able to setup a DUN connection that way. Verizon's version does, but I'm not sure about Sprint's.

What I do at work is when I plug in the phone and use ICS, I simply disable the LAN connection here, and everything will automatically use the other open connection from the phone.

Of course, my exchange e-mail and Office Communicator stop working, but when I'm done doing whatever I need to do, I just re-enable the LAN connection.

Do you want to use TP2 for internet connection to laptop or pc? You can use internet sharing either by usb or bluetooth DUN. You have to pair your bluetooth with your laptop first to make sure both recognise each other. Then use internet sharing connection. Search the forum how to set up internet sharing by typing "internet sharing", it should take you from there.

not to hijack the thread, but do any of you Sprint users know if the bluetooth PAN profile is present in your devices for use with ICS?

haha.. that is exactly what I am doing.. but i want to have my cake and eat it too.. in other words I want to be able to surf the net through my phone and still have the email and data software to go through my regular LAN connection... its looks like my only option is to disable my LAN and Enable my Windows mobile device connection. My instinct was able to connect to the net and still have my email and stuff but it was dial up.

Yes, but my understanding is that enables DUN, which although similar to using ICS isn't the same.

Is there any method to enabling Bluetooth PAN to come up in the ICS?
