Backup Issues?!?
 
Everytime i plug my htc pro touch 2 into my computer it comes up as Unkown Device in my deivce manager, i tried to install everything the cd came with but no go how the hell am i ganna back up my stuff once 6.5 comes out

what version of windows are you running? If its vista you cant run active sync...(the cd that came w/your phone) you have to download wmdc (windows mobile device center) its free from Microsoft. It will allow you to sync your contacts, calendar, tasks, and e-mail.

If its actual backup your looking for check out sprite backup (it works great)

Well its vista 64 bit, i did do that but i looked up on Google and tried almost everything. So i said F*** it. Loaded Up Vmware with xp pro. installed the cd and outlook and stuff and whata you no everything works and my contacts are backed up lol. if you still have an answer tho i would love to get it working threw 64 bit vista

Not sure which version of the WMDC driver for Vista 64-bit you tried, but I've read that installing 6.1 did not work for some, so they downgraded to 6.0. and once it installed it updated itself to 6.1 and worked fine from that point on.
