Opera closing on it's own

Ok so I am having the first real issue with my new Touch Pro 2. Everytime I try to use Opera and navigate to a website like www.ppcgeeks.com, Opera closes itself. I can't understand it. The phone is using on 54% of it's memory and opera closes completely. Anyone else having this issue?

Re: Opera closing on it's own

anytime i run in to a problem like that, i backup my contact, messages, etc, and hard reset (worst case scenario). i keep all my cabs in folder on my memory card, so i can easily go down the line, and install each cab while checking to see if the problem returns (single out the problem).

once you get your phone running smooth do a back up.... matter of fact, do a back up regularly, and whenever you run into a problems like that again, just do a restore, and go from there.

dudes on this forum are helpful, but with glitches like that, it's really a shot in the dark. especially when there's limited info, like what apps, and tweaks you've installed.

well specific sites WILL crash opera for sure without a doubt on a stock rom, including the non mobile version of this one

I had that same problem on my Verizon TP2. Before and after Cleanup Tweaks, but even more after. Now I'm on a Sprint Touch Pro 2 and don't have the problem anymore.

I think it's a Verizon ROM issue. I would just wait on the WM6.5 update that's coming. Hopefully that will fix it.

i think it has to do with the flash from the stock rom and opera 9.7 (since i didnt have any issues with 9.5).

try to disable plug-ins in opera (setting>advanced).

Re: Opera closing on it's own

This has been happening to me since I tried out Sprints new ROM... I flashed about 5 different ROMs since then and tried many different versions of opera and http://www.ppcgeeks.com and http://www.1800pocketpc.com still make opera crash on me... I thought I was the only one.
