Just a thought I am totally a noob, but I have noticed that my phone goes into data connection mode I physically have to turn this off everytime I access an app ie. facebook, weather, etc. Could this be running the battery down and if so how do you shut it off?

The data connection is off. I did not do anything with data connection all day today.
- 1 too many meetings and with my laptop, so did not get a chance to use the data connection. The only call I made was in the morning for a conference call for 1.3 hours.

I am trying to customize the setting to fit my need and have a question.

Are these the xml codes needed to get tethering to work with internet sharing?

So far, I'm loving the WinMo 6.5 Cleanup for my Sprint TP2. It's awesome.

The only thing I'm having trouble pinning down is that my Bluetooth headset randomly turns itself on as if a call is coming in, but the line is just silent. (It makes the boop-boop-beep sound to let me know that it's connected to the phone, but all I hear is a light line hiss.)

It appears that the TP2 is routing "system" sounds to the headset. But because it takes a full second for the phone to reconnect to my BT headset, I usually don't hear anything unless another system sound happens a few seconds later. And then after like, say, 10 seconds, the BT headset goes back to low-power mode/disconnects from the phone.

Is there any way for me to change this back so that "system" sounds come out of the phone's speaker instead of my BT headset? (well, I guess sounds coming thru the BT headset are okay, but only when I'm on a call... Otherwise, I'd rather the TP2 play the audio thru the speaker.)

Go to Bluetooth settings and then to Advanced settings, choose "Audio" and uncheck "Play system sounds on remote hands-free device.

The good thing about it being checked is that, you can play music in the bluetooth headset (mono)!

I think I set the value to 0 or 1 because I hate the feature, but you can bump it up to 4 or 5.

There is a link in the original post (Note #4) that tells you what you'd need to know to build your own customized version of the package. You can remove the battery files and Wei Enterprises registry keys.

Make sure you grab the file operation section to remove the "\Windows\Startup" shortcuts, but yes.

Another new bug on the Sprint version... looks like the "unread/read" text messages bug still exists, so I'm gonna test it out with the HTMLNOTE.DLL fix from WM6.1. Am building a new package tonight with a handful of fixes, will test it at work tomorrow and post if it's good once I get home.

GT2L, does the Verizon TP2 tweaks for 6.5 include 1% battery counter?
- I had battclock installed and just uninstalled it to see if that was causing the battery drain with your tweaks.

Just checking.

If your tweaks do show the 1% battery incremental, where do I see it?
Lauching Nuebattery and out caused my TP2 to freeze up and had to take the battery out to get it back to life.

Yes it does include it. I know the nueBattery control panel applet is problematic. It's on my list for a fix, but I haven't found one just yet. But the driver is pretty stable from what I can tell.

What else do you have installed? Keep in mind that weather and stocks and such are set to sync by default... you may need to adjust the frequency or settings for your needs.

The weather and stocks are set to manual and I have push internet off.
hmm, I have lots of app installed in addition to the ones listed in my signature.

Wow quite a list! I've never used any of those other than Google Maps, lol.

I think I'd try narrowing the list down to absolute essentials for a day and see what happens.
