I did the same and seems to be a bit faster.

just an fyi, if you do all the tweaks, but forget to delete the log files, you will have problems.

NO LAG??

I find that very hard to believe (or maybe you just don't know what lag is)

You're right, I have no clue what lag is. However I do know for certain when someone is a.... hmm, nevermind.

That aside, I am driving, so I'm not constantly watching the screen. When I do watch it the movement is smooth and accurate. But you're right, as a EE and ME with an emphasis in automation I have no idea what lag is at all. Thats like... a drug term right? I felt cool using it.

okay i had the same problem, i called sprint customer care and basically they will tell you "we need to refresh your GPS", they will have you call from a phone which is not your tp2 and follow some very easy instructions, all in all it took about 5-10 minutes to resolve, just tell them you need to have your GPS refreshed because it will not lock onto a signal no matter what, it solved my issue and i had the same problem as you...

good luck!

Out of curiosity (I'm not on Sprint), what was the series of steps that had you perform?

I did part A of the process lifestealer posted. I can confirm that this destroys lag to the point of being a "non issue". Before I was missing turns, now it's tracking my car at 85 mph with 1 second of lag. Non issue.

Sprint tried to "Refresh my phones services" but that didn't work.

NewTP2 should be here tomorrow!

I just got my Sprint TP2 today: lock on was quick with Google Maps, but near-instant with Route 66. In fact everything seems much quicker - good example is the switch in e-reader pro from portrait to landscape: has to be twice as fast as my Touch Pro.

Re: (Sprint) - GPS Issues

Well, UPS has my phone, and I hope tomorrow, when I get it, it will download QuickGPS stuff, and then lock..
I am not doing anything else until that works!

LOL
