Mode of Operation and Disable SMS Wakeup
 

Does anyone know how to get the mode of operation setting in the phone? It used to be just editing a registry value that would make it show up so I could choose whether to be on EVDO or 1X but now that registry change doesnt work, so anyone know how to do this on a touch pro 2? Also is it possible to make it so the screen does not turn on when a new text message is received?

search for "Disable SMS Sent", that will get you a regedit....or, one of the stickies in this tread has a cab that will do that regedit for you.

for the Mode of Operation, I assume you want the Toggle 1x...
I too am looking for that.

That and GPS are my biggest issues

Thanks for your help but im not looking for how to disable the sms sent notification but how to stop the screen from turning on when a new sms arrives. I dont know if this is even possible but I would like to do this to save battery.

i had also asked about the screen not activating when a new sms comes in and was told it had not been done. i could have sworn it was possible on one of my older pda's.

That standard reg edit for unhiding the Mode of Operation phone menu does not work. It worked on the Touch Pro, but does nothing with the Touch Pro 2.

However, I noticed that the Touch Pro 2 is much better about not hunting so much and draining the battery when on the fringes of EVDO.
