Why is the TP2 generating so many posts by new members?
 

I'm seeing alot of new members in the "Re: Sprints matches Big reds TP2 price!" thread. Myself, I've always referred to ppcgeeks for the latest in ROMs, radio and unlocking help for the Apache and Titan, but I didn't register until recently to inquire about the TP2 pricing (for my other lines, my Titan is set up to do everything I want out of a ppc and I'm very happy with it 8-)).

Curious what the community thinks!

I'm new to the site and TP2, but had a mogul and TP1 prior....just never registered and posted ;-)

I used to post at everythingwm but they didn't have a specific "TP2" forum so now I'm a PPCgeek.

There are always a lot of new members on this site...it's huge.

Well I mean new members aren't the issue
but things being asked for a long period of time and no searching can make ppc geeks in general an obtrusive experience

What you speak of is part of a bigger problem these days. People want something immediately, and expect someone to help them, without having done any of the heavy lifting or due diligence. I have much respect for the regulars and contributors, because without them, the platform isn't pushed and advanced.

I was hoping poll choice #2 "Consumers wising up/ tired of paying full price (especially given the state of the economy)" would have garnered a larger percentage of the votes, but it's sort of a flawed poll anyway. For the most part, when individuals seek out a forum based setting, it already shows that they are more informed over your typical consumer (or at least looking for an alternative). cheers to that :occasion5:
