Verizon users: What are your 3G speeds?
Using dslreports, I get between 300 to 1100 kbit/sec on my Verizon TP2 here in Minneapolis. Would have hoped for higher speeds.

Wirelessly posted (HTC_Touch_Pro2_T7373 Opera/9.50 (Windows NT 5.1; U; en))
My signature shows my TP1 speeds using wmwifirouter. I haven't tested the TP2 speed yet (prob not much different) |
Re: Verizon users: What are your 3G speeds?
I tested at DSL Reports mobile speed test site and get a consistently lower reported speed than I do with MobileSpeedtest.com, but I'm not sure which is correct. Yesterday, I was testing at work where I have a really good EV signal and I was getting 1.5-3Mbps from mobile speed test, but only getting 800-1500Kbps from DSL Reports. I'm going to try and get flash working in Opera or PIE so that I can try out Speedtest.net as I feel it will have more reliable/accurate results.

Re: Verizon users: What are your 3G speeds?
For consistency and ease of testing, I recommend everyone use this test:
http://www.inetworktest.com/wired/ Having said that, the best I've gotten is 900kbps down. I wish their was a mobile app for Windows Mobile, like the iPhone has, that could track up/down throughputs and latency for all the different networks you attach to throughout the day. |

through skyfire I got a 5293 kbps at http://www.inetworktest.com/wired/
