Why is it so forbidden??
 

To talk about the hardspl for the tp2? Every thread was closed by MM, just cause folks talk and express feeling and such. Really what is the harm? Seems like if the mods don't like the way a thread is going, bam it gets closed. I know you got rules and such, but really...maybe get a sub forum for anything goes????

It's not forbidden at all. At this point it hasn't been released. And if you've been following the discussions in the TP2 forum then you are aware that there is a lot of energy involved in the discussions.

This energy, whilst understandable and initially polite and focused, tends to degenerate into discussions that are not contributing to the bottom line.

So in an effort to keep the peace and to ensure that we all live in tranquil harmony, the staff at times will close a thread (or threads) to maintain said peace.

The staff do let the people speak...and part of the staff's job is to ensure that what is spoken is polite, respectful, and contributing to the overall discussion.

I totally get it, I follow it everyday. Personally if the thing takes another 3 months to come out, I'm ok with that. I guess the chatter about it is fun. Why not censure those that are not polite, and are dis-respectable...etc. I think most here are mature enough to handle good talk, even if it is all speculation and the such. I would rather see an out of hand poster be dealt with then just bring it to a halt.

But that is me...and I respect what you guys do here.

Like Coz said, its nice and friendly at first. Then people start getting impatient, asking when when when, hurry hurry hurry... others tell them to shut it and be patient, then it goes off track. That's why the last comments of all the closed topics say those working on it will post when there is something to post, otherwise all subsequent posts are essentially useless.

ah reminds me of a few months ago when people were all but demanding the new MightyROM and 3 mods had to get involved and it came down to MightyMike delaying the rom, man that was a fun few days of riot control

I dont think that hardspl is an issue... its a critical need... Moving your comments a few steps closer to ESN cloning, and then your dead.

I think that ESN cloning threads should be canned.

I really enjoy this community and appreciate it and hope nothing is changed.
