Message Notification for no message?
 

Ok, so I have looked and deleted all my messages, but this stupid notification won't go away....... My only other option is hardreset which I do not want to do, but it looks like that may have to happen. I have soft reset 10x and deleted every single message off my phone but this is still there.....

Anybody else get this problem?

Did you try taking the battery out for a few seconds and putting it back in? Also, have someone send you a message and see if when you read that message it clears the notification. This has happened to me before and one of those two always worked. Good luck!

I had this very problem and it was driving me crazy.

I found that one message was marked unread, but was not an SMS/MMS.

Slide to Messaging
Click All Messages
Click on the Inbox dropdown
Now in you mailboxes find the unread message.
Mine was in the Outlook Email

Check Drafts, Outbox, Sent Items, and Deleted Items. I bet you anything it's in there. (in Text Messaging via WM Messaging)

I've had this happen to me on several occasions and it was always in one of those folders.

Still SMS is EMPTY, I think it maybe a glitch, I'm bout to do a hardreset lol

sad to say but ive read this problem many times and the only solution is hard reset.......... sorry man

Try going to Menu>Tools>Clear SMS/MMS. That fixed it for me the other day.

Damn its a no go..](*,)](*,)... hard reset time :angry7: I wonder if this will reoccur since I use the exchange. Oh will doing hard reset now. We will see!

There's gotta be a registry key setting you can change. If you hold 5 minutes, I'll look for it. Have you tried turning off TF3D, soft resetting, and then turning it on?

I kept having the same problem with mine but it was Inbox Email notifications. The issue was when I sync'd google with the phone for contacts and calendar. I use outlook now and I don't get it.

I was looking for that option but I already did a hard reset. Will try that if it ever happens again.

This worked until i did a soft reset. I noticed that after i reset the value to "0", the Inbox under SMS/MMS still shows 1.

After I did the hard reset, the problem hasn't cropped up again. And I am going on a month in 2 days lol

Yup, that's what i ultimately ended up doing. Phone seems to be working even better now =P

Thank you, thank you! I know this post is old, but this is the only thing that worked for me. The reg edit worked, but the counter just kept coming back.

It was 6.5 (MR) but the FixUnreadCount.zip program mentioned above cured it.
