WMWIFIRouter and TP2 woes
I have done two hard resets, but a thrid one I am sure will confirm this. My has made itself unable to use the internet except for wifi tethering after installing my version of WMWifiRouter. It possibly is due to me running such an old version, but it seems to make it unable to connect. I spent an hour with tier 2 and 3 tech trying to solve this issue. I figured it was this program, but I didn't tell them as it could possibly violate my TOS. Has anyone else encountered this issue. I have seen a bit similar issues, but no one seems to point to this program as the problem. Can someone post the HTC Wifi cab for me? I have also noticed if I turn the screen off I lose my connection.
Thanks |

Re: WMWIFIRouter and TP2 woes
After a hard reset it is confirmed that WMWifiRouter is the issue. Can people who had this problem post the version they were using? It might help the author in debuging or others who have this problem in the future.
Mine looks to be .91 |
Re: WMWIFIRouter and TP2 woes
I realize you are running the free version, but I can tell you that version 1.52 works perfectly for me in 4 different phones including my newest (a VZ TP2)
The final free version did not work well at all for me. ~John |
Re: WMWIFIRouter and TP2 woes
I haven't had the problem you're experiencing, but I've had tons of issue's with WMWifirouter over the past. Unable to uninstall, locks up the phone, screws up the wifi which sometimes cannot be repaired by doing a crash restore. Just use HTC Wifi Router, it's simpler and far more reliable.
