Nice! I must have missed this one, but great post! Def thanked! I also have some more images on another thread that take it apart to the front screen.(http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=92100) I was wondering if anyone has been able to get to color the LEDs under the four home buttons on the front? I was unable to get to these. Thanks!

Aren't most LCDs of this type soldered into a PCB? I have a Blackberry on my desk with the trackball out (it's the old kind with the ring that holds in the trackball) and the LED that lights up the trackball is part of the motherboard.

I have had my VZ TP2 completely apart (not for any particular reason other than I take everything apart so I am familiar with it).

My biggest problem was finding a phillips screwdriver that fit the screws correctly.

Some of the screws in mine where really really tight, & I was really worried about stripping out the screw heads. I found a brand new unused Snap-On brand screwdriver in my toolbox (I used to be a S.O. tool dealer some years ago) that solved that problem, but even using that I was still nervous until I had them all successfully cracked loose..............

How do you separate the LCD from the touch screen? Anyone sell them already mounted together. I tried e*bay but did not see anything (some similar mention NOT for CMDA phone).

Thanks

The problem is they are pretty much bonded together with glue and getting them apart can be a real pain. So once you have the display out, the last step would be to pry the digitizer off the display to break the glue bond (not pretty). If you had a new display and a new digitizer it wouldnt be a problem, but to reuse either after ripping them apart from each other isnt pretty. That is why I would suggest getting the Digitizer and the display as one together.
