its hit or miss man but i would probably just wait until the 1st to see if they drop the price. i was just bored yesterday and i lucked out with the online chat and the first rep offered me the deal. maybe it is because im a premier cust. but i have no idea.

I would personally keep the $380 one.. Only b/c I switch phones damn near every year and Im pretty sure another device will be comin out within this next yr that I would wanna purchase.
This way u could get the full upgrade on ur next phone and will be able to sell ur TP2 for an equal, if not greater price. Thats wat I usually do anyway..

sprint makes no sense. how others get credits and then others get nothing. i mean seriously is any other provider like this ive always been with sprint.

I've tired chat twice and the phone twice and I get a different story each time. They will call me back, I have to go into a store, chat can't help with this sort of issue, and Sprint doesn't price match at all.

the thing w sprint is that it's really hit or miss on this as there is no true, set-in-stone policy for giving credits - and that most times you're going to be speaking with a vender call-center rep vs a "true" sprint rep. it's a case-by-case thing that every rep has the ability to decide on - UNLESS the account in question has a credit review flag on it(meaning a sup has to approve any additional credits). the only thing that plays much of a factor to the rep is what the account value shows in the system(how long you've been with them and how often you pay on-time vs late), the attitude of the caller, and how often has the account received credit(s).

What i do not understand is WAIT TILL THE FIRST! it is simple if you wait till the first and it is on there website you have no problem i do not see why all the fuss over calling them now.You wil not have had it 30 days so they will match it if it goes on there site.

Yep I actually was thinking the same about not signing a contract to get the newer phone later when I am eligible. The actual deal for the $380 was cash + my used Touch Diamond. Yep I said goodbye to my Diamond and lucky I brought his offer down to $330.00, so it was a nice trade. I still haven't done the trade, but I should be doing it soon.

Yea, the only thing is, is that this is just a rumor right now. We can try to get the price matched now, that way if it doesn't drop on Oct 1 then we already have the discount.

Definitely did... I had take care of the MIR. That brought it down to 350. Then I called back and told them Verizon had it for 199.99. I told them i want things to be fair and would appreciate it if they can match the price. They gave me a 50 dollar credit on my acct and told me to send in the MIR and they also credit my account for that.
