Cases for the Sprint TP2
So, last week I ordered a bodyglove case from amazon.com which finally came in today. What a piece of junk. Anyone eyeballing the bodyglove, save yourself some money and don't by it. It took a lot of effort to get it clipped on right, and even then it came off way to easily. I remember sliding out the keyboard and *paff*, the body came off. Now that the reviews on amazon finally start to come in, I noticed I am not the only one.
Nonetheless, this did leave me in a predicement since I am travelling this weekend. I decided to take a trip to the local sprint store, and ofcourse, since they don't carry the phone yet, they also don't carry the accessories for it. So, I took the ultimate walk of shame (for a sprint user) and walked into a T-Mobile store. Wow, these guys have awesome cases. I picked one up specifically for the Touch Pro 2 that clicks closed with two buttons. It is beautifully constructed and my TP2 fits in it nice and snug. It does have a small T-Mobile logo on the front, but who cares right! It's funny though; checking out the cashier asked for my cellphone number (no idea why). When I gave it to her she said "That is not a T-Mobile number!!! is it?". I told her "maybe". She then started to question me so I decided to come clean. She asked me if she could see it. I think she liked the color of the keys on the slide-out keyboard and the headphone jack on the bottom. But anyway, for any sprint users looking for a nice case, check out the T-Mobile store! GM |

Re: Cases for the Sprint TP2
I been using the case from my mogul and it works really well, I've been looking at that seidio one as well and its a very nice case but I just don't feel like spending the money for it when I have my old mogul on laying around.

Re: Cases for the Sprint TP2
If you guys are willing to pay 35-40 bucks for a case then your only choice is that ebay seller that custom makes them. You get to pick the color of the leather (inside and out), the color of the stitching, style of the case, the type of clip.
They even take special requests so if you need anything they don't offer (for example I wanted belt loops in addition to the clip) they'll do it for free. This is the ONLY choice if you want to spend that much... Other than that there are plenty of 8 dollar ebay specials that will do the job. |

I'll be waiting for Seidio to release their Innocase + Clip holster combo. Love those things.

Re: Cases for the Sprint TP2
I am using my 25 cent leather case I purchased via Slick Deals about a year ago. It was always a bit too big for my TP, but it fits my Tp2 nicely.

Re: Touch Pro 2 Tweaks, Hacks, Tips & Modifications
For those of you who are desparately looking for a perfect case for your new Touch Pro 2, I believe I have found the solution, and better yet, it is a Genuine HTC Case which works on magnetic closure (it secures tight) instead of the hook and loop velcro which we all know works good for about 1 month and then can't stay close. I purschased mine from Best Buy and added my own modification to it. As you can see from the pic below, I added a piece of elastic which surrounds the normally wide open area of the case (could result in scratches/dents if left open) It is not necessary but works amazing as I did the same thing to my Touch Pro case and never nicked the chrome once in over a year! If you guys are interested in getting one it is listed on the box as "Leather Horizontal Pouch, Black w/Velventeen Lining. HTC Branded" and the Item Number is 82024LRP. The elastic can be found at any WalMart and costs about 1.79. I used some 3M double sided tape to keep it secure on the sides as well as the underside. Get the case here:
http://www.wirelessdepot.com/Product...ixed-Belt-Clip Not sure why it shows a brown material on the sides but I can cofirm it is ALL black and you can see yourself from the pictures. http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...s1683/case.jpg |
